Welcome to Pawtrait Pet Bakery. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of pawtraitbakery.com and any orders, inquiries, products, or services provided by Pawtrait Pet Bakery (“Pawtrait,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By using our website, submitting an inquiry, or placing an order with Pawtrait, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Pawtrait
Pawtrait Pet Bakery is a Los Angeles based pet bakery specializing in custom cakes and treats for dogs and cats.
Our products are made to order and may include hand painted portraits, sculpted designs, personalized decorations, and other custom elements based on information and photographs provided by the customer.
2. Custom Orders
Submitting an inquiry through our website does not guarantee that an order has been accepted.
After receiving your inquiry, we may contact you by email to discuss availability, design details, pricing, dietary requests, delivery, and other order information.
An order is considered confirmed only after Pawtrait has accepted the order and any required payment or deposit has been received.
Because our products are handmade and customized, availability may be limited.
3. Order Lead Time
We recommend placing custom cake orders at least 2 days in advance.
More detailed or complex designs may require additional notice.
Rush orders may sometimes be available for an additional fee, but rush availability is not guaranteed.
Submitting a request within the requested timeframe does not guarantee that Pawtrait will be able to accept the order.
4. Pricing
Prices displayed on our website are current starting prices and may vary depending on the design, complexity, customization, accessories, decorations, ingredient substitutions, delivery requirements, or other special requests.
For products listed as “starting at” a particular price, the final price will be confirmed before the order is finalized.
Any additional charges will be communicated before the customer approves the order.
5. Custom Design Expectations
Every Pawtrait cake is made by hand.
We use customer supplied photographs and instructions as inspiration when creating custom pet portraits and sculpted cakes.
Because these products are handmade and edible, exact duplication of a photograph, reference image, color, pose, marking, or facial expression cannot be guaranteed.
Small variations in color, shape, proportions, decorative details, and overall appearance are a normal part of handcrafted work and do not constitute a defect.
6. Pet Photos and Reference Images
Customers are responsible for providing clear and accurate photographs when requesting a custom pet design.
By submitting photographs or other reference materials, you represent that you have the right to provide them to Pawtrait for purposes of completing your order.
Customer submitted photos may be used to design and fulfill the requested product.
Any separate use of customer photographs for marketing, advertising, or social media will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any applicable permissions.
7. Ingredients
Pawtrait products are made using ingredients selected for use in our pet cakes and treats.
Our standard recipes may include ingredients such as:
Eggs
Rice flour
Chicken breast or another selected protein
Lactose free milk
Coconut milk
Agar agar
Cornstarch
White kidney beans
Specific ingredients vary by product.
Pawtrait uses organic ingredients and does not intentionally add artificial additives or preservatives to its cakes.
Customers should review available ingredient information and notify us of any known dietary needs, sensitivities, intolerances, or ingredient preferences before an order is finalized.
8. Allergies, Sensitivities, and Dietary Needs
While we may be able to accommodate certain ingredient substitutions, Pawtrait cannot guarantee that every dietary request can be accommodated.
Ingredient substitutions must be discussed and approved before the order is finalized.
Our products may be prepared in environments where other ingredients or allergens are present. Unless Pawtrait expressly confirms otherwise in writing, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens or cross contact.
Customers are responsible for determining whether a product and its ingredients are appropriate for their pet.
If your pet has a known allergy, medical condition, or specialized dietary requirement, consult your veterinarian before feeding them a Pawtrait product.
9. Not Veterinary Advice
Information provided by Pawtrait regarding ingredients, products, serving, storage, or dietary substitutions is provided for general informational purposes only.
Pawtrait does not provide veterinary, nutritional, or medical advice.
Nothing on our website or in communications with Pawtrait should be interpreted as a substitute for advice from a licensed veterinarian.
10. Serving and Storage
Pawtrait cakes should be kept refrigerated.
For best freshness, cakes should generally be consumed within 2 days, unless Pawtrait provides different instructions for a particular product.
Customers are responsible for following any storage or serving instructions provided with their order.
11. Delivery
Pawtrait currently provides delivery within Los Angeles and surrounding areas, subject to availability.
Delivery availability, timing, geographic limitations, and any applicable delivery fees may vary depending on the order.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.
Pawtrait is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect delivery information, inability to access the delivery location, weather, traffic, emergencies, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
12. Cancellations and Changes
Because Pawtrait products are custom made, changes and cancellations may be limited once work has begun or ingredients and materials have been purchased.
Any requested changes should be submitted as soon as possible.
Whether a change can be accommodated will depend on the stage of production, availability, and complexity of the request.
Any additional costs resulting from approved changes will be communicated to the customer.
Important point to confirm with Tim
This is where you should eventually add the actual cancellation and refund policy, for example:
Orders cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date may qualify for a refund, while deposits or orders already in production may be nonrefundable.
I would not publish a specific cancellation window or refund rule until Tim tells you exactly what his policy is.
13. Refunds and Product Concerns
Because Pawtrait products are made to order and customized for individual customers, refunds are not automatically available simply because a customer changes their mind or because a handmade design differs slightly from a reference photo.
If there is a problem with your order, contact us as soon as possible at info@pawtraitbakery.com and provide details and photographs where appropriate.
Pawtrait will review concerns on a case by case basis.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer protection law.
14. Farmers Markets and In Person Sales
Certain Pawtrait treats or products may occasionally be available through farmers markets, pop ups, or other in person events.
Product selection, availability, pricing, and quantities at these events may differ from the products shown on our website.
Availability at a particular market or event is not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed by Pawtrait.
15. Website Information
We try to keep information on our website accurate and current.
However, product availability, pricing, ingredients, images, descriptions, delivery areas, and other information may change.
We reserve the right to correct errors, update information, or change website content without prior notice.
16. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the Pawtrait name, logo, branding, website design, graphics, photographs, illustrations, written content, product imagery, and other original website materials are owned by or licensed to Pawtrait Pet Bakery and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use our website for personal, noncommercial purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit Pawtrait website content without permission.
17. Customer Reviews
Customers are free to share honest opinions and experiences regarding Pawtrait products and services.
